Lyons blitz Rockets at Eddyville

EDDYVILLE, Ky. — Lyon County raced ahead early and never looked back Friday night, rolling to a 96-25 Fifth District boys basketball win over Crittenden County.

On its home floor, Lyon County led 31-12 after one quarter and 62-16 at halftime, limiting Crittenden County to just one field goal in the second quarter and none in the fourth.

Crittenden County was led by Conner Poindexter and Jack Porter, who had 6 apiece. The Rockets made four 3-pointers and finished 5-of-7 at the free-throw line.

Lyon County placed 11 players in the scoring column.

Lyon County improved to 16-5 overall and remained undefeated in Fifth District play. Crittenden County fell to 1-20 overall and 0-5 in district action. The Rockets close district play Tuesday at Trigg County in Cadiz.
