Rockets, Lady Rockets win Tuesday games

Rockets win by 18 on road

The Rockets got 24 points from Travis Champion Tuesday and Preston Morgeson and Trace Derrington also scored in double-digits with 11 and 12, respectively, as CCHS dispatched Christian Fellowship 70-52 on the road.

The Rockets improved to 2-1 with the win while CFA fell to 2-2.

Guess scores 34 to beat Caldwell

In a game that started slowly on the scoreboard, Lady Rocket Taylor Guess found a hot hand to post her best offensive outing of the young season. She scored 34 – including 15 at the foul line – as Crittenden led from the jump and beat Caldwell County 54-39.

The Rocket girls led 3-0 in the Tuesday matchup after 7 minutes of play. Then, they got rolling with a faster pace.

The win lifts the Lady Rockets to 4-0 to start the season while Caldwell County is now winless in four games.
