Crittenden’s girls' first game in the event will be against Medina High School from Ohio. Their pool includes Keyser High from West Virginia, First Baptist Academy of Orlando, Fla., North Buncombe High from Weaversville, N.C., Quaker Valley from Leetsdale, Pa.; Riverview High from Sarasota, Fla., and Rye High School from New York.
Based on MaxPreps data, the Sarasota team appears to be among the strongest in the field with a 6-3 record at the end of last week’s play.
From the Cleveland area, Medina, the Lady Rockets’ opening opponent, was 3-3 after its first six games. The Battling Bees average scoring 48 points a game and the team is ranked No. 4 out of eight in the Greater Cleveland Conference.
