MARION, Ky. – An active Crittenden County defense had Calloway County on its heels early as the Lady Rockets wiped out the Laker girls 77-48 Tuesday at Rocket Arena.
Crittenden was firing in near perfect rhythm the whole way, leading by more than 20 in the first half and running the margin to more than 30 in the third period.
Senior Taylor Guess scored 25 and Natalie Boone and Elliot Evans added 14 apiece as the Lady Rockets won their fourth straight and improved to 19-4 on the season. With six more victories the Lady Rockets will tie the most wins in a single season.
Calloway County (6-16) came into the game on a three-game winning streak.
Since losing two straight games in Florida, the Lady Rockets have won 11 of their last 12. Crittenden will host Dawson Springs Friday for the annual homecoming and Hall of Fame Game.
