The 8th-grade Lady Rockets finished their season Saturday as the undefeated champion of the middle school district tournament. Crittenden's girls have never lost a basketball game, not as seventh graders last year nor as eighth graders this season.
As far back as anyone can remember, this is the first group of girls to never lose a game in competitive middle school action. Several of these girls play on the high school varsity team as well.
CCMS defeated Lyon County 51-38 in the championship game after knocking off Caldwell County in the semifinal Saturday morning. The tournament was held at Lyon County.
