HODGE COACHES 700
The Lady Rockets hosted University Heights and beat the Lady Blazers 47-35 at Rocket Arena Saturday.

Crittenden County coach Shannon Hodge, in her 27th season at the helm of the Lady Rockets, coached her 700th game and boosters and parents held a reception to mark the occasion. She was presented with a wooden figurine made from the old gym floor where she played and coached her first seasons at CCHS.

Junior Jaelyn Duncan had 14 points to lead the team for the first time this season and freshman Taylor Guess scored 13.

BOYS LOSE AT UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS
The Rockets led by a point at halftime Saturday at University Heights, but could not pull off the upset.

The Blazers went on a run in the third period and their star KJ Crump finished with 33 points. He got nine in the fourth period after Rocket freshman guard Preston Morgeson fouled out. Morgeson did a good job guarding Crump in the first three quarters.

Turley scored 23, his best offensive performance of the season and Erik O’Leary and Mott added 14 apiece.
