After four games this season freshman point guard Taylor Guess is averaging over 20 points a game, but Crittenden County's girls basketball team is 1-3 out of the chute with a key Fifth District matchup on Friday at Lyon County.
Guess, who's been a varsity player since seventh grade, netted a career high 31 points at Ballard Memorial on Saturday in CCHS's only win of the young season.
On Tuesday at Rocket Arena, the Lady Rockets had 32 turnovers and 35 points. The outcome was predictable as Caldwell County routed Crittenden 64-35.
See this week's printed edition of The Crittenden Press for more about the upcoming game against Lyon County, which Crittenden sorely needs to win in order to be a legitimate contender in the district. Click here to subscribe and never miss news and sports from Crittenden County.
